Why Jeju Now?
A part of me has always been a little protective of Jeju, mainly because it is still relatively untouched by fast tourism. There's this safety & softness here.. a quiet yet powerful energy that both replenishes and grounds me at the same time.
Jeju ( Korea’s Island of the Gods) is s a volcanic island shaped by lava tubes, strong winds, ocean currents, tangerine groves everywhere (and truly, the best tangerines I’ve ever had), and water that shifts color with the seasons. One of the most undeniably meaningful parts of Jeju are the Haenyeos - legendary women divers of Korea, often called the “mermaids.”
What makes them so extraordinary is not only their physical strength, but their relationship with the sea. That is why I felt so strongly to create this as a women’s retreat. The island itself already carries an energy that honors the feminine in all its forms through resilience, intuition, softness, strength, and a deep connection to nature.
Your time in Jeju is about experiencing it with reverence, a deep awe and respect back to yourself. To slow down with the island. To feel the volcanic earth beneath your feet, the ocean air against your skin, the coastal winds moving through you, the sweetness of the fruit, and to be witnessed by the women who have shaped this place for generations as the next invitation to return back to yourself, whole.
And before this island inevitably becomes more widely known and more heavily visited, I cant wait for you to experience the full 7 days of pure magic, the vast expansiveness & freedom it still holds today- all of it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this retreat women-only?
Yes, JAYU in JEJU is designed exclusively for women. It is with the intention of deepening sisterhood, reconnecting with your self, and finding healing in the heart of Jeju, Korea's Island of the Gods.
Can I come solo?
Most guests arrive solo and leave as sisters. It is one of the most beautiful and powerful parts of the retreat. We cannot wait for you to experience this alongside you on this unforgettable journey.
Are airport transfers included?
Absolutely, airport transfers are included. However, if you are arriving earlier than October 24th or depart after October 30th, you will have to arrange your own airport transfers. The nearest airport is the Jeju International Airport. Our team will share full logistics before your arrival (flights not included in this retreat package).
What is the payment plan policy?
Your non-refundable $700 deposit will reserve your spot and lock in your rate. After that, you will pay the rest of the payment in 3 separate payments. For any cancellations, your credit will be applied toward a future JAYU retreat.
Do I need to speak Korean?
Not at all. However, we will send you a list of words and phrases before the retreat for you to familiarize such as "hello" and "thank you". We will provide English speaking instructors and practitioners, with Ami and the JAYU team by your side to translate everything throughout. All you have to do is bring your journal, your energy, and an open heart for this unforgettable experience ahead.
What is October like in Jeju Island?
October in Jeju Island is one of the most beautiful times of the year. Last week of October will be 21°C (70°F) by day, 17°C (63°F) at night. However, we encourage you to bring warm layers, especially for evenings, and a rain jacket for light showers.
